Herbal Hair Loss Products

Why herbal hair loss products? Herbal, all natural, clinically tested, doctor approved are all marketing hot buttons that advertisers use to draw you in. Ultimately all products come from nature and are modified scientifically to some degree. Crack can be called all natural and marijuana probably is all natural.

I'm A Beliver In Herbal Hair Loss Products!

That said, I am convinced that natural products are a better choice. First because they have much fewer side effects. After my experience with propecia's sexual side effects I have been very wary of pharmaseutical products. I also believe that the pharmaseutical industry was partially responsible for the premature death of my mother. That is another story.

I actually stumbled upon herbal medicine years ago when I started having joint problems. I found an herbal doctor who quickly fixed the problem. Then I started using herbal products. I didn't ask the herbal doctor about herbal products for hair loss because he was very bald! I tried several herbal shampoos not specifically for hair loss at that time. I noticed a few things quickly. First that the shampoos often made my hair and scalp feel fresh and tingly. Second my hair was much healthier and seemed to fall out much less. As I investigated things further I discovered that the cheap chemical laden shampoos had probably caused or further advanced my hair loss problems along with the chemicals in processed fast food. Men have been loosing their hair for thousands of years so this isn't the only cause but just one factor. I also discovered that herbal hair loss shampoos and herbal hair loss products seem to have a higher success rate and satisfied customers without the side effects.

I Made A Change In My Belief Structure

As I have matured I have made a somewhat subtle but significant change in my beliefs. I had believed without thinking about it that my body is flawed and required science, research and medicine to fix it. Doctors were there to figure out my problem and give me a chemical cocktail created by man to fix it. This sounds reasonable and logical, right.

I have since come to believe that my body is created and not necessarily broken. If I give it all the proper building blocks it should be able to repair itself.

The philosophy of herbal natural medicine is that when the body is given what it needs from nature it should have all the pieces necessary to repair itself.

The problem regarding hair loss in men is that hair loss is natural! Heredity and the way we are built plays into hair loss. So we are often trying to convince the body to do what it is not programed to do. Bummer! This is my take on it anyway.

Notice That The Herbal Hair Loss Products Have The Same Ingrediants!

Herbal hair loss products have the same ingredients in them. Check out the labels. They all contain a mixture of the same stuff. Interesting.... Could it be that they all use the same ingredients because those ingredients work. Could it be that mother nature holds the secret to keeping your hair and growing it back. Often a product will boast a secret formula or a never before used ingredient. I think this is generally a lot of sales hype. The bottom line is that there are several herbs that have been shown to be reliably effective. I say stick with what works.

Most Herbal Hair Loss Products Contain These Basic Ingrediants

Saw Palmetto: The most notable herb with some success in hair loss difficulty is Saw Palmetto. Shampoos with this ingredient are certainly worth a try. Saw Palmetto seems to inhibit the production of DHT in men, for example, and DHT causes hair follicles to shrink and close up.

Nettle and bay: have also been helpful to some people. Shampoos which include these might help you too.

Essential Oils: These oils are concentrated ones which come from plants such as lavender. From ancient times, these have been used to stimulate healthy hair and to decrease the rate of hair loss. We know that we have much to learn from early medicine men and healers. Perhaps this is another example.

Tea Tree Oil: Many swear by this ingredient, and there are several brands of this on the market. So popular are these shampoos, you can find them at most any drug store as well as health product retailers. As an aside, tea tree oil has also been found to be effective in the prevention of head lice infestations.

Are Herbal Hair Loss Products Safe?

I would say yes for the most part. They seem to have very few side effects and few dangerous interactions. But if you have another medical condition or no condition at all you can check with your doctor. I did find a few precautions that I have listed for you below.

SOME SUPPLEMENTS MAY INTERACT WITH PRESCRIPTION AND OVER-THE-COUNTER MEDICINES:Taking a combination of supplements or using these products together with medications (whether prescription or OTC drugs) could under certain circumstances produce adverse effects. Be alert to advisories about these products, whether taken alone or in combination. For example: Coumadin (a prescription medicine), ginkgo biloba (an herbal supplement), aspirin (an OTC drug) and vitamin E (a vitamin supplement) can each thin the blood, and taking any of these products together can increase the potential for internal bleeding.

SOME SUPPLEMENTS CAN HAVE UNWANTED EFFECTS DURING SURGERY:It is important to fully inform your doctor about the vitamins, minerals, herbals or any other supplements you are taking, especially before elective surgery. You may be asked to stop taking these products at least 2-3 weeks ahead of the procedure to avoid potentially dangerous supplement/drug interactions -- such as changes in heart rate, blood pressure and increased bleeding - that could adversely affect the outcome of your surgery.

Final Thoughts On Herbal Hair Loss Products

I am a believer in herbal products but many have had great success with propecia and other chemicals. I say go with what works for you. Try different products until you find one that works and you can stick with. Do your research and then try it out.

Bald Bob
